Heartland Bank’s President and Chief Executive Officer Kevin Black is dedicated to the philosophy of having each Heartland Bank employee provide the highest level of customer service. The “Real People, Real Service” phrase is not just a theme line for Kevin, it is a way of doing business and creating long-term, first-name relationships. In fact, it has become the cornerstone of the bank’s continued success.

A native of Somers, Iowa, Kevin has worked at Heartland Bank since 1983. His present and past community involvement includes the Gowrie Development Commission, Gowrie Kiwanis, Gowrie Jaycees, Prairie Valley School Board, Gowrie City Treasurer, and Prairie Valley Athletic Booster Director. Kevin received his bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University where he majored in ag business and earned a minor degree in farm management. Kevin has completed the Graduate School of Banking in Boulder, Colorado. Prior to working at Heartland Bank, he was affiliated with First National Bank of Tipton.

Kevin has strong feelings about delivering the highest level of customer service in the area. “Good customer service is exceeding the expectations of the customer, and that is what Heartland Bank strives to do."  He invites you to experience the way we do business.
