Frequently Asked Questions about eStatements from Heartland Bank

Heartland Bank offers eStatements as a way to view your monthly bank statements. There are some common questions we are often asked regarding eStatements. Our eStatement FAQs are here to help. How do eStatements work?

You receive an email notification that your eStatement is ready.  You login to your Online Banking account and select the “eStatements” option for the account statement you want to view. Each statement will be available for two years.

Will printed statements still be sent to me after I sign up for eStatements?

No, once you enroll in eStatements you will no longer receive printed monthly statements in the mail.

How much does it cost to receive eStatements?

There is no cost associated with eStatements; they are free for Heartland Bank account holders.

Do eStatements look the same as printed statements?

Yes, eStatements look the exact same.  You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the PDFs of your eStatements, which you can download at Adobe.com.

What if I don’t receive an eStatement?

It is possible that your email address is out of date. You can update your email address by selecting Update Email Address from the User Services tab in the Manage Account section. If your email address is correct and you are still not receiving eStatements, please contact us.

Are eStatements secure?

Yes, eStatements are secure. Our Online Banking system uses industry-standard 128-bit encryption, allowing you to view your financial information securely.

How do I get started with eStatements?

Login to your Online Banking, go to the User Services tab in the Manage Account box and click on the e-Statement link.  You will begin receiving an email, stating your e-Statements are ready, with your next statement cycle.

I enrolled for eStatements, but I want to go back to receiving printed statements in the mail. What do I do?

You can switch back any time. Just contact your nearest Heartland Bank office.

I want to switch the email address my eStatements go to. How do I do that?

At any time you can login into Online Banking, click on the User Services tab of the Online Banking site. Here you can update the email addresses in the Manage Account section.
